Our suite of Building and Construction qualifications are designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of residential and commercial construction businesses. These course provide training in building project management, building standards, contracting, costing and estimating, tendering and preparing building contracts. The courses are also a recognised pathway towards Builder Registration with the Victorian Building Authority.
Registered and experienced builders deliver the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) courses. Trainers are current in the industry and certified to deliver and assesses in the VET sector and hold the current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification.
Completing qualifications in the Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) means you will have gained the required knowledge to prepare and submit an application to become a registered builder with the Victorian Building Authority. Building and Construction Industry courses are delivered by National Construction Training (NCT), which a trading name of National Training Services Pty Ltd (RTO 21254).
Building and Construction courses are being replaced in 2022. Students who have not completed their current qualification before it expires will be transitioned to the new qualification with credits for equivalent units. Transitioned student may have additional units to complete which will mean it will take longer to complete.
Below are the transition dates for each qualification. Please note some of these transition dates have recently been extended by the Australian Skills Quality Authority.
